Maggie has a cast

Maggie can tell you the whole story. I had her tell me and I wrote it down for everyone to read.

Here is the story of how Maggie fractured her ankle in Maggie's own words:

"When I went to grandpa Scouller's house. We stayed at a hotel. And we went swimming. I jumped in the pool and throwed the ball at mom. I came up and I was screaming and crying. I broke my ankle. Daddy looked at it. Mommy almost touched it. Daddy and Mom took me to the doctor. We got a picture took inside (her leg, an x-ray). We got my cast on. I wanted a purple cast and if they didn't have purple I wanted pink. (She told Jeremy and I at the doctors office that she wanted a purple cast and if they didn't have purple she wanted purple). There was white stuff on my ankle. Then there was white and purple stuff (looked like tape). It is good now."

It has almost been a week from when Maggie got her cast on. It has been an interesting week. Maggie has been alright but you can definitely tell that her foot has been bothering her. She has been very emotional but strong at the same time. She never complains about her foot hurting but we can tell that it bothers her when she starts whining and cries for no apparent reason. Thank goodness for Children's Motrin and Movies.

Here it is!

We have been trying to spend some special time with Maggie. She loves us to read to her. Jeremy and I both spent at least an hour reading to her yesterday. We mostly read Dora. She had a blast.
