Dinner for Daddy

Maggie was so excited to make Jeremy dinner one night. I wanted to try these oven pancakes. So we made the batter and threw them into the oven before Jeremy got home from work. She waited for him to get home and then said, "Daddy, I made you dinner." I let her do almost everything including cutting all the strawberries for on top! She was so proud of herself. It kept her busy for a long time. I ended up cooking the pancakes a little too long but it was still good. What isn't good with strawberries and whipped cream on top right?

Maggie decided that she would smear whipped cream all over her face. She really wanted a picture of her mess. She was is so funny. It turned out to be a cute picture. I am sure that if she would have just ate her dinner and not worried about getting her face dirty first it would have looked like this anyways.

Julis Boehm Pool

Maggie got a new swimming cap from Grandma Audrey. I love it. It makes her look like one of those a real swimmer now.

We went to our local swimming pool right now the street from us. Maggie has been taking swimming lessons there for years now. She can finally swim without anything to help. I am so proud of her.

We swam for quite awhile. Boyd wasn't so happy to be in the pool but he was fine. I just kept swimming with him. Before I knew it Boyd was asleep. I knew if I got out of the pool he would wake up so I just kept swimming. He took his nap on me in the pool. It was crazy but he slept right through it. I posted a pic of his little foot after getting out of the pool.

Test Drive

Here is the story about how we found our new boat: Jeremy has been searching the Internet for a long time for a boat that we could buy. One day he was on Craigslist and came across this boat that he has been looking at in town. It was at a storage unit that we drive by quite often. He called right away and we went to look at it. The boat was in pretty good condition and we knew it would be a great starter boat for our family. It is a 1993 Four Winns!

We finally got the boat in the water this June. We invited Shellee, Kaleo and Leila to go for a ride. Thank goodness for Kaleo. He saved us more than one time. You really have to get a feel for docking, loading and unloading. Of course, I know nothing about doing this so I was no help.

We drove around Lake Sammamish, ate some Costco pizza and found a nice place in the no wake zone for Maggie to take a dip. She was dying to get out into the water. She jumped in quite a few times. And had lots of fun.

Good thing we took it for a drive. We found that it wasn't completely fixed. There was a glitch that needed to be fixed before we could take it out again. We took it to the Mechanic and the next week it was ready for another ride!

Maggie loved her dip into the lake. She is such a water baby!

Boyds New Toy

Boyd got this fun toy from Grandma and Grandpa Noble for his birthday. I loved this toy when I saw it at my neighbor girls birthday. It looked so fun. The kids really enjoy it!

Boyd loves putting toys in his mouth like this. He carries them around the house in his mouth! Maggie is helping him this time.

Notice that in the pictures, the girls are playing with the toy and not Boyd. I made them give him at least one ball. I don't know what it is with kids but they love baby toys. I guess they don't remember playing with them when they were babies!

Boyd's First Birthday

My baby boy has turned one year old. I can't believe the time has gone so quickly. He is learning so many new things every day. We had a wonderful party for the little guy. He was spoiled. He had a fun time maybe too much fun. He woke up in the middle of the night and would not settle down. Jeremy and I ended up taking him for a long car ride and finally he fell asleep. I was glad to lay in bed and go to sleep. It was a long day but I enjoy throwing parties especially ones that celebrate a birthday and a great accomplishment, turning 1!

Jeremy's Obsession

For those that know Jeremy know that he has an obsession with Nike shoes. We went shopping a few months ago at Fred Meyer. They had a clearance shoe sale. Jeremy ended up getting three pairs of Nike's for $12.50 a pair. He was so excited. He didn't realize that he already had four pair of shoes already under the bed. I don't think he needs any new Nike's for awhile.
